Prolific Poet Hops on Board - May, 29th 2012
A random outburst from Ronezee has Gill running off stage to ask the audience this weeks question: What's good this week, Tuesday - Tuesday? Romaine Walker read "Words on my Wrists" and annouced she's adding 3 new poems to her EP. Newcomer Reece from Southeast hits the stage with some soul.
Long time friend of the fam Danielle and now a professor read a heartfelt piece "...do not slip embers under my dreams". DJ Redlite was getting the crowd crunk especially when 1st Timer Joshua did his thang on the sacrificial rug to a Kanye track. Finally gracing the stage after a car break down and riding the slow traveling bus from Orange County, the long awaited feature of amazing poet Marc Marcel commenced. He told us that he likes to piss preachers off in his spare time. In his pieces he said that we are part of a collective conscious and the whole world is manipulated by thoughts. Powerful words from a man who is already working on his 17th spoken word album. Every week is something new; words or melodies you've yet to hear and always an experience you'll never forget. ![]() Leave Comment: |
